Yesterday we went to Bolzano, a beautiful town in northern Italy. It has a free university and is full of cafes and places to hang out.

And even in the cold weather people are sitting outside with thick jackets, drinking their espresso. Out of curiosity we went into the southern part and visited the Techpark Südtirol, an innovation area built to replace the old aluminium factory.

The area consists of large, black buildings like cubes, merged with vintage architecture from the old factory floor. Lots of smaller and bigger companies are located there and they have an innovation lab for food safety.

They have a central restaurant and a large open space where everybody is invited to walk in and work. The area is called Noise and is exactly the opposite: A quiet, wide space with lots of tables and chairs, sofas and more to sit down and work - no need for a coworking space.

It's very lovely inside. I spent some time there working on the new STUDIO16B website.

If you have the chance be sure to check it out.
